Questions people ask

Where can I learn about Pressure Reflexes for free?

Right here. This page collects free articles, podcast interviews and a free live webinar from Deano Sutter, founder of Pressure Reflex™ Leadership Training System. Start with any article that sounds like you.

What is a Pressure Reflex?

A Pressure Reflex is the version of you that takes over under pressure. It is the emergency responder your brain calls in when a moment feels like a threat. It was trained into you, so it can be retrained.

How many Pressure Reflexes are there?

There are 8 named Pressure Reflexes. The Defender, The Overexplainer, The People Pleaser, The Fortress Builder, The Short-Circuiter, The Performer, The Dodger and The Ringmaster.

Why do smart leaders react badly under pressure, even when they know better?

Because knowing better is not the part in charge in that moment. When a moment feels like a threat, a Pressure Reflex takes over before thinking catches up. That is why smart leaders still snap, freeze, over-explain or go quiet, and then wonder why.

What do the articles answer?

The questions people ask when the pressure hits. Why you can't say no without feeling guilty, why you go blank when someone asks you a question, why you get defensive about feedback and why you overreact to small things. Every article names the Pressure Reflex at work and how it can be retrained.
